001 - PE with Joe / BBC Lessons / Free Activity Sheets and more!

Hello and welcome

This is the very first in what will be a daily newsletter sharing 5 cool things each day for you to do with your kids. Life as a parent is hard, and it just got a whole lot harder with this latest round of lockdowns due to COVID and I hope that you enjoy these suggestions and find this useful!

  1. PE with Joe will be back! If you haven't already seen the amazing news, it starts again next Monday, for 3 weekly sessions. Don't miss it here.

  2. Daily lessons on the BBC - And in more good news the BBC will be broadcasting lessons on BBC Two and CBBC, as well as online. They will include three hours of primary school programming every weekday on CBBC, and at least two hours for secondary pupils on BBC Two.

  3. Free activity sheets from Orchard Toys - These activity sheets cover a range of learning goals including language and literacy to number and counting skills and can be used to support independent learning. My twins (age 6) love these!

  4. Eating healthy in the new year - I’m determined to get my kids eating healthy and am hoping that by cooking with them we can try new things. This set of recipes from BBC Good Food is where we are starting.

  5. Extra reading resources - If you’re looking for extra reading books this list of the 9 best homeschooling books to educate kids during lockdown is a great place to start

That's all for today! Please hit subscribe to get this delivered to your email every morning.
