The weekend is upon us, and The Daily Kids is here to help make your weekend as fun-filled and special as possible. The week has been full of work and school and busy lives, and now it's time to unwind. Bonus Mayday bank holiday this weekend, so today we are looking at things to do around the UK in case you plan to travel.

  1. Hobbledown farm is based in Epsom in England and has so many things to see and do. It calls itself a mystical adventure, and there is more than enough to keep the kids occupied.

  2. The Eden Project in Cornwall is a biodome sphere ecosystem with kids adventures and zip lines built-in. As the name suggests, it's a little piece of paradise the kids will love.

  3. St Fagan's Natual History Museum in Wales is another fantastic way to spend a Saturday. This unique gem is in the heart of Wales and offers an insight into what life was like in the country hundreds of years ago.

  4. Corfe Model Village and Fairy Garden lies in the heart of rural Dorset at Corfe Castle's foot and offers a to scale insight as to how the forte would have originally looked.

  5. Woodlands Park in Devon in England is a must-see. It looks like tellytubby land, and the whole park is fun for kids and adults alike. This park offers slides and thrills and fairground rides.
