Happy hump day, mums and dads. We hope your week is going well and that you and your little ones are making the best of the week. We've got our daily download of sanity-saving tips to help you get over the hump.

  1. Tonight we're getting crafty. You could try teaching the kids knitting, or if that's maybe a stretch, why not give crocheting a try? It's fun and easy, and quick to do. The kids will see results quickly and might pick up a hobby they really enjoy. Allfreecrochet has some great inspiration and tutorials.

  2. Take the kids to a working farm. Many of them have playgrounds, kids activities, go-karting and more. My local one even has pig racing and is open until 5.30. Check around your local area.

  3. Everyone is jumping on the roller skating trend, and we think this is a great way to get the kids out having some exercise and parents to re-live some of their favourite childhood memories.

  4. Take the kids out for a game of Frisby and enjoy the time together. This is always a fun family activity and great for milder nights. It's socially distanced, so you can even get their friends involved.

  5. Why not take the kids for a kick about? A good football game at the local field is great for kids of all ages, even mum and dad aged kids. A game of footie is socially distanced, so the kids can get their friends involved too.
