059 - Fry up / cake / clean up / pull weeds / bonfire

Ah Sunday, what a wonderful day for a rest, unless you are a fellow parent. Kids don’t stop for Sunday and neither do we, the The Daily Kids daily dose of activities is here to help you find some inspirational Sunday solace. Today is all about easy living and family time.

  • Make a big Sunday brunch complete with all the fry up trimmings (veggie or meat this is always a winner. Love and lemons has over 60 Sunday brunch ideas you can try if the traditional fry up isn’t your thing. Getting the kids involved in cooking is always a fun way to pass the morning.

  • Bake a cake, chocolate, victoria sponge, carrot cake, banana bread, the list is endless. Sally’s baking collection has a whole load of recipes for you to try.

  • Get the kids involved in the Sunday clean in preparation for the week ahead. You’ll be amazed how involved they will get with housework and cleaning duties if they feel it’s a joint effort and they’re making a real contribution.

  • Have your kids pull weeds, bear with me, I know this one sounds strange. Pay the kids a penny a weed and you will be amazed how quickly they get out into the garden and start pulling the weeds.

  • Have a Sunday night bonfire or fire pit, even better, get some marshmallows for toasting and relax around the fire before bath and bedtime.
