010 - Morning walk / cooking breakfast / making bubbles / bath time / spooky parties

Finally the weekend is upon us, it’s Saturday and that means we can relax a little. Dad Plus Kids has put together some chilled Saturday activities to keep the kids occupied. Here’s today’s tips.

  • Take a morning walk to the shop with the kids, get some exercise and fresh air early in the day. There’s nothing quite like the crisp air biting at your cheeks to invigorate and start the day.

  • Cook breakfast as a family, make it an event and build some memories. You could even start a tradition of having the same breakfast every Saturday. Go all out, pancakes, eggs, or full veggie brekkie the choice is yours.

  • Put a bucket of hot soapy water in the garden and let the kids make bubbles with tennis rackets or anything else you can think of. There are some brilliant giant bubble recipes online see our link.

  • After being out in the cold the kids will need a nice hot bath and why not make bath time an event? Bath crayons are a great way to get them in the bath to play.

  • Have a spooky party. Yes a spooky party, close the curtains, turn out the lights and cosy up on the floor with blankets and pillows and lots of nice snacks to watch a movie.
